Yellow, Orange, Pink and Purple

Today is a Purple day, but I painted this purple plate yesterday on a Red day. Oh gasp! 🙂 I still need to set the colors in the oven and then it will be dishwasher safe. Cool!

 

I colored this in Photoshop today (for yesterday’s Red day) and I made it look like a book cover. I also printed some (sans text) as greeting cards. They are on their way home in the morning after an awesome monster party.

Feb. 19: Gel and Souffle pens on brown paper, using scrapbooking sticky flowers as a stencil.

Feb. 18: I started adding some yellow bits to the green page from the day before. Never finished it though.

Wow, it’s already halfway through January! I had a great holiday and now it’s just about my birthday.  And I have lots of images to share.

So right before New Year’s I was looking through some crafty books and was reading about 365 Day Art Projects, where you make a piece of art every day for a year. I decided I wanted to do it to. People make all sorts of things and have neat themes.  Since I love color, I decided to do a little piece of art or a craft in a different color everyday. So the colors go in a 6 day cycle: yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, green and then starts over. They can be anything, even a little doodle. Usually I have been leaving it until just before bed and I find that I am to tired to do anything, maybe it will get better? So anyways, here’s what I have done so far:

Well actually I was so busy that I forgot January 7, so I watercolor doodled this the next day…oops!

I finally made something with these beads I bought ages ago. Yippi! and tomorrow I am going to learn how to make them myself. (Can’t wait! And I will definitely post pics.)

I have taken to referring to the days by what color I have to use that day, today is an orange day. I better go make something orange!

Flying Musk Ox????

What a day! Well, it wasn’t that bad for me, but man was it bad for my boss. A water pipe broke at work to day and there were guys in the store all day trying to suck up all the water. It was very very loud and messy. By the way I work at a scrapbook store, though I am also an art studio technicion at our local art centre. This was at the scrapbook store, so the pipe broke today and this comes on top of a massive hard drive crash from earlier in the week. What a crazy headache. Makes me happy that I only work there once in a while…hee hee.  So today i saw the house I might might MIGHT be living in in a few months…MIGHT! My dad is building it and it is so cute and tiny, it would be perfect for me! Anyways, we’ll see. Here’s my drawing for today, can you tell I was bored? Don’t ask about the wings…
